Midwest Consulting began in January of 2015 as a trend in the glass and glazing industry started to present itself. The subcontractor market had bounced back from the recession of the early 2010’s and businesses were starting to see bottlenecks, specifically in the submittal process. Quality design drawings and engineering were becoming harder and harder to procure and turn times for those services were growing from 4 weeks to 8, causing major delays in scheduling.
Having been in the industry, producing design drawings and engineered calculations for nearly 10 years at that point, Tony Magnan stepped away from a glazing contractor to provide these services as a stand-alone Consulting Firm – Midwest Consulting & Services. As a sole proprietor, he able to produce shop drawings in 2-3. Customers included many of the well-known glazing contractors in the St. Louis area as well as aluminum product manufacturers. Suppliers would share the drawings with their customers throughout the country (word of mouth advertising only) which led to a nationwide customer base.
In the spring of 2019, the workload was getting too large for just one person, so Midwest Consulting teamed up with two other glass and glazing veterans, Nathan Kitchen and Phil Bellville. The three officially became partners on June 1, 2019. Business continued to grow as well as the expansion of services to procurement assistance, field quality control, and estimating.
Todd Weaver acquired Midwest Consulting & Services, LLC in 2020, now doing business as Glazing Solutions. Glazing Solutions is the latest addition to the TW Constructors family. As the entities evolve and grow, they’ve each attained significant market share in the regional design build contracting community. The successes of the companies individually and collectively, has enabled Todd’s entities to become renowned as the “Go To” Minority Owned Construction business within our markets.
